Once you have downloaded the app and set yourself to AVAILABLE, Mach1 providers have the opportunity to receive service calls from up to a 50-mile radius. Though it is up to the provider's discretion whether they accept or decline the call, it won't affect you negatively as Mach1 providers don't compete on ETA's.

How to Accept & Complete a Service Request:

  1. The service request will come through as a notification, this will be followed by the Mach1 Jingle to differentiate from other apps. This notification will contain the year, make, model, and color of the customer's vehicle. You have about a minute to accept ( you won't be penalized for declining a call. Here at Mach1 we try to steer clear of call stacking).
  2. Once the provider accepts the request, It is customary to reach out to the customer using in-app communication (call & text). It is up to the provider to negotiate the price with the customer before heading out to the job. Although it is suggested to stay within the price window, Mach1 understands that there are factors such as distance, time of day, weather, or other additional services that call for a higher price bracket. You simply quote your desired rate. If the customer declines, you may cancel the request, and send them back into the queue. If the customer accepts, you may then navigate to their location.
  3. When you reach your destination you can then mark yourself as arrived. Once the service is completed, you can then set your pricing within the checkout screen by clicking on the price listed. The app will only allow you to place the highest amount within the service request field, any additional charges can be entered by choosing the blue highlighted text, "Add Service Fees".
  4. Once you have successfully entered your pricing, the customer will be prompted for their signature, and the payment will be processed.

Note: Take into consideration that there will be a service fee of 18.5% taken out automatically from the price that you have set. The service fee can be broken down into two parts, 18.5%= 15% for Mach1 + 3.5% Stripe payment processing. This is the only fee allocated at the time of purchase. The provider is not bound by set rates. It is at the discretion of the provider what the final rate will be, and honored as long as it is negotiated with the customer before dispatching to their location. It is suggested that the provider add the percentage on top of their usual rates to be sure they are being fully compensated for their services. When a customer submits a request they are agreeing to this standard, minimizing price haggling.

Call volume is not affected by metrics.

During your signup process, the business sets up a Stripe account which is the direct deposit account that allows for payments to be processed within the app. A Stripe account and driver profile will need to be set up before utilization of the app. Each driver (including the owner if they also plan on receiving service calls) will need to have their own driver profile and the app downloaded in the device they will have on their person in order to be dispatched automatically. This is based upon their GPS location to potential customer requests within a 50-mile radius of the provider's current location. We are developing a central dispatch system, but do not have the function at this time.

You will be glad to know that when each service is completed, the payment will post within 24 hours to your business stripe account, and deposit into your respective bank account after 48 hours. It will then be at the discretion of the business how they pay out their drivers for the completed service call. (weekends and holidays may delay depending upon bank)

Mach1 does not partner with any motor clubs or insurance companies at this time and pride our technology for successfully cutting out the middle man by allowing providers to ask for the rates they deserve. Say goodbye to the days of competing on ETA's, and being offered service calls for a measly 20 bucks. We appreciate you coming along this journey towards the future of roadside assistance. This is your opportunity to join a nationwide network of providers taking back control from the motor clubs. The process may take getting used to, but this is a needs-based app, meaning the customers are coming through organically based upon the need in your area. The more providers within a given area the more advertising can be allocated to increase call volume. Turning this industry into a community, instead of a wrestling ring. I hope you find this informative, and look forward to answering any other questions you may have.
